My background is in media,  having been a video editor and producer for over 15 years.  While creating my own venture, HistoricalImpulse, I became fascinated in personal and organizational history, and how to preserve it. This led me to my interest in archival work and digital applications. I volunteered for a year at the Academy of Natural Science in Philadelphia where I helped build a digital image library and inputted metadata for the library. I was hooked! I decided to get my MLIS from Drexel University…

Through my work and education, I’ve accomplished a great deal in the last few years. I’ve written finding aids, made catalog entries, researched and inputted metadata, created databases, processed and rehoused collections, written grants and scanned and digitized hundreds of documents and images. I’ve also utilized my production skills at some of these institutions, creating videos and slideshows for presentations. I enjoy constantly learning and using my experience to help organizations make their materials come alive.
